Today in the vast developing era, the importance of renewable sources of energy has increased alarmingly due to the energy crisis faced by a large part of the population.
With the aim of Go Green, Sh. L.N.Hindu College installed a solar panel on its roof as it is an effective and easy way to introduce clean and green energy. Our college plays a vital role in creating awareness about solar energy among students and by utilizing rooftop solar power. We had already adopted eco-friendly strategies for future needs in the field of electricity requirements. The system has been operational for more than four years and generates a significant amount of energy, which we are using in our offices, corridors and street lights. Our purpose behind the use of solar energy is that it is environment friendly, reduces our carbon footprint and allows access to cheap electricity, behind this it requires low maintenance cost and works effectively and is a completely green resource without emission of greenhouse gases. Solar energy offers both an environmental and economic benefit and it will be the most efficient strategy to cope with the complication of electricity for future generations. Keeping in view the benefits of solar energy, the college has proposed for the updation of existing system under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0). RUSA has sanctioned an amount of ₹ 15,00,000 for the same.
